no matter how many times i've tried, i just couldn't get through the whole thing.
you know, there were always those reminders to read the bible, have a personal study, go out in service, and.... the other two of the five things we were supposed to do i already forgot.
so, i constantly felt guilty that i just had no interest.
I read it twice cover to cover like I would a novel. First time with WT specs whilst recovering from a broken ankle and the second time 3 years ago and realised the little flock was Jews and the great crowd gentiles.
The other times my eyes passed had only passed over the words without really taking any of it in as it was to a weekly schedule half an hour before the meeting and not because I chose to or had the time it needed to absorb what I was reading.

in order to get a booking a little nearer to xmas (november wasn't quite pagan enough) we have booked the farmhouse burrfields road, portsmouth po3 5hh for 7th december @ 12 noon.
the restuarant wants a deposit of 5 per person payable in 2 weeks.
this booked up really quickly last year, so act promptly if you want to join in the merriment.
Angus/cantleave is taking deposits via paypal or cheque for those who know they can definitely come. :)
They have to be paid by the 17th to confirm numbers.

I can confirm the annual xmas bash is now booked for Saturday 7th December from 12 noon.
I have provisionally booked a table to accomodate 12-15 people so need to know who is interested in coming to confirm the booking and numbers in 2 weeks time.

i know there are some here that are going through some tough times.
some of you do not believe in god.
some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.
I have the most wonderful non-witness/exjw friends that support me through my tough times.
As a witness I didn't cope but that's because I was completely alone.
Posting here helps and facebook. With the internet you are never alone and there are wonderful people always willing to help.
Whatever you are going through chances are some-one walked there before you and survived so can help you to as well.
Sometimes just knowing there are people who care and want you to succeed gets you through, bit like god but they exist.
